Is the cement along your ridge lines cracking and washing away?
The older tile homes around Terrigal, Erina and Woy Woy often have ridge capping that has not been touched in years. The original cement has hardened, cracked and started washing into the gutters with every downpour.
When a coastal storm rolls through, those loose caps lift and the leaks run along the ridge line into the roof. We rebed the caps in fresh mortar and repoint with a flexible compound built to handle the movement and the salt air on the Central Coast.
What we do when we repoint your roof
We repoint and rebed tile roofs right across the Central Coast, from Gosford and Erina up to Wyong and The Entrance.
We lift any caps that have slipped or come loose and rebed them in fresh mortar so they sit straight and solid again.
We point the caps with a flexible pointing compound that moves with the roof. It flexes instead of cracking like the old cement did.
While we are up there we swap out any cracked or broken tiles along the ridge so the whole line is watertight.
A proper repoint seals the ridge so water stays out. It extends the life of your tile roof and saves you a bigger bill down the track.
New pointing is colour matched to the roof, so the ridge line reads as one clean run rather than an obvious repair. That counts on the prominent double-storey rooflines around Terrigal.
We clear every scrap of old mortar as we go, sweeping the roof and clearing the gutters before we leave. Nothing is left behind to block a downpipe later on.

Roof Repointing FAQs for the Central Coast
Answers to the questions we get asked most.
Yes. We repoint tile roofs across the Central Coast including Gosford, Terrigal, The Entrance, Erina, Woy Woy and Wyong. If you are nearby, just ask.
It can. Salt air and the storms that hit the Central Coast work hard on old cement, cracking it sooner. That is why we use a flexible pointing compound that copes with the conditions.
That is a classic sign the ridge pointing has failed and water is getting under the caps. Rebedding and repointing the ridge line is exactly how we stop that kind of leak.
Yes. If we spot cracked or broken tiles along the ridge while repointing, we replace them so the whole line is sealed, not just the mortar joints.
It depends on the lineal metres of ridge capping, how the roof is to access and the condition of the old pointing. We give you a free quote up front so there are no surprises.
